Who we are
The Kingdom Fund is the responsible party (POPIA) and data controller (GDPR) for personal information processed through Meciple.
What we collect
Account details (name, email), onboarding answers, trading account parameters, trade records and uploaded statements, notification preferences, billing status, and basic technical logs.
Why we process it
To provide and improve the Service, calculate your metrics, send alerts you have enabled, process payments, and meet legal obligations. Our lawful bases are contract performance, legitimate interest and, where required, your consent.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers needed to run Meciple (hosting, authentication, email, and payment processors Paystack and PayFast), under appropriate safeguards.
International transfers
Data may be processed outside South Africa or the EEA. Where this happens we rely on adequate protection or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it within 90 days of account deletion, unless law requires longer.
Your rights
Under POPIA and GDPR you may access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator or your local EU supervisory authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your records is restricted to your account.
